Bad wiper motor ??
Hey guys, I have a problem with my intermitent wiper not working properly. It kind of has a mind of its own, Wiper works fine on high and low. When on intermit it just keeps wiping , and if i move the switch back and forth it will work a little bit ??? And on the longest time setting it is like having it on the shortest ??. Do you have to replace the whole wiper motor or is there somthing i can replace to cure this. Thanks

RE: Bad wiper motor ??
Do you know how to use a soldering pencil/iron? Many GM wiper motors get all flaky and it is a direct result of cold solders on the circuit board inside of the wiper motor itself. I was able to remove the circuit board and resolder everything necessary without removing the wiper motor itself on my fathers K2500 4x4 Pickup, but I don't know if that is possible on your vehicle...
I would try that first as it is pretty much a free fix (minus your time) and will mostlikely fix your problem. The only other thing that I can think of would be something screwy with the delay circuitry that forms the intermittent function, but I'm not an electrician, nor do I claim to know exactly how that works...
Good Luck
