Belt noise

Yeah, its the wet thing that always makes it sound like crap. If the belt is dry...no noise. GM needs to fix this problem on the serpentine belts. This is the 3rd Blazer I have owned and they have all done it in wet weather. Thanks again.....Curly

Default RE: Belt noise

It is quite possible that it has nothing to do with the design of the serpentine belt system, but the quality/age of the belt that is put on. No matter the manufacturer, any belt will harden with age and lack of use. Some manufacturers are better than others. I trust Goodyear and Dayco belts. That trust comes from using those brand belts for years on my father's farm. They work and work for a very long time. Other belts have broken or slipped where those two brands just plain work.
