ICM == Ignition Control Module. You stated that you replaced the ECM == Engine Control Module... Two different things.

And I am a very strong advocate for testing things before replacing them. Most autoparts stores can test the ICM and coil. Only downside is you have to remove them to have them tested. They are fairly easy to remove though.

Yes, ICM is the ignition control module mounted on the distributor. I fixed the similar problem I had by replacing the coil a few days ago. Never really seen one act like that, but not really complaining about a $25 fix... You get yours running?
