how often do mass airflow sensors go out? i have a 02 blazer and the check engine light is on,and it will not go above 3 grand. i took it too autozone and had them check it and code came back mass airflow sensor. could there be something else i should check first?

 

if it comes back as the MAF i would try the MAF first, soooo i guess try lol

check your vac lines would be the only other thing i could say

 

DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM!! Don't just go throwing parts at it! What is the specific code (Pxxxx)?

MAF sensors rarely "go out"...
