blinker freaking out
i have a 2000 lt 4dr blazer andhave been looking all over the forums and have checked all the fuzes and the trailer atachment but still cant figure out why when i turn on my right blinker the indicator on the dash turns on and just goes to a sollid and dosnt blink and the bliking soud just goes on for about three seconds and dosnt blink it just buzzes also the taillight just goes on like the brake was pushed but the brake is depresed. any ideas[sm=wtf.gif]
There were 2 identical relays in the connector block, I swaped the relays from one side to the other.. the oppositeblinker went solid = Relay failure...Can't go wrong with that diagnosis, costs nothing!I think I paid $3.50 for a new one. Thats all it was...
i got my blinker fixed about a week ago it got worse my brake lights were on constantly but the brakes still worked so i toke it to my mechanic and he looked at it and he found that the blinker asembly on the steering colum was burnt our so he put a new one in and it cost just about $300 the part was 250 and the labor was only 50 because he was a friend of mine.
All indicators point to a problem in the turn signal multifunction switch. All exterior lamps are wired through this switch in the column. I have seen this issue numerous times, although the switch is expensive especially if you have cruise contol. I'd suggest getting one from the dealer, aftermarket ones have proved to be junk in my situations. There was a repair kit availible through GM but I can't remember the part number. If all else fails, beat on the column and see if anything changes.
yeah i already got it replaced and it cost about $250 for the part i didnt do it my mechanic did it and it took him about all day and yes i did have cruise control u aint rollin in style unless u have that.
