Blower motor resistor, or relay?
I have a 97 Blazer LS 4x4 4 door. I replaced the broken blower fan switch, but found the plastic around the switch mounting area to be melted. This caused the switch to stick, so I Dremel'd off the melted stuff and the switch moves freely.
However, the blower still only works on the top two settings - let's say Hi and Medium-Hi. The lower two positions don't turn the fan on at all. I searched and found some info that points to the either the resistor or the relay. How can I test them to see which one is bad? Both are about the same price, but I'd rather not replace something that isn't bad. Thanks!
