Default Blower motor works, but only when coming to a stop

Hey guys.. I have a 1996 Blazer. Here is the problem I am having. Till it got cold out, the blower motor worked great. Then, one day, it stopped working. But I noticed when I would come to a stop sign and apply the brakes, the motor would come on, make a little noise, and when I was completely stopped, the motor would stop working again . Occasionally, the motor will just come on and work fine for quite a while, with no noises, no problems . But then, after time, would start to slow down again, and eventually stop . Everything seems to be fine otherwise, but I don't want to go replacing this and that, only to have the problem continue.
Any suggestions? Has anyone else ever had this problem? If you could get back to me soon, it would be appreciated. Thanks everyone!!!

When the blower works, can you get it to work on all 4 speeds with the switch? If so, the end play in the motor is probably excessive causing the brushes to lose contact with the armature. If that's the case, you'll need a new blower motor. If the motor makes abnormal noises, that could be an indication of the bushings being dry and or worn... another reason for replacement.

The blower motor doesn't work on any of the settings. I did test for voltage on the connector going to the motor. I did have voltage, and it did seem to change when I selected different speeds. All which tell me the resistor and switch may be fine. But, again, sometimes when the blower motor does come on, it runs fine with no abnormal noises. But that is not a regular occurance.

When it's not working, will tapping on it cause it to start working, even if momentarily? If so, the motor is bad.

Tapping on it does work.... Usually it makes a noise. But sometimes just driving down the road, it will come on by itself with no noise at all.....like nothing at all is wrong. Most times though, it comes on while I'm coming to a stop. Once I'm completely stopped, the motor stops again.

Mine is doing the same stuff right now, I bought a new Blower motor and plan on installing it tomorrow morning, I assume thats it. Mine is a little different though, as when I turn left it stops but when I turn right it works amazing.
