Brake lights not turning off

Brake lights not turning off
So last week I found my brake lights were suddenly not turning off, my right signal stopped working(flasher made some horrible noises). Left Signal works find, hazards are same as the right signal though. Of course brakes are constant power so when I stopped they stayed on, so to save the battery I pulled the fuse.... except the fuse that got them was the park light fuse. The next day I left the fuse out and played with the lights. The right turn signal suddenly affected everything(high beams, low beams, hazards, and parking lights). I have thrown a new multifunction switch in with no success. Threw a new flasher in, same deal. Going to try the CHMSL relay tomorrow(if I can find it, seems to not be in the fuse box). Oh, played with the brake switch and had no change with that either. Fuse for right side brake light doesn't shut it off but the left dies when that fuse is pulled. There is a hacked in tow kit on it so had a look at that but looked pretty good inside. So at this point I feel kinda lost in the electrical and could use a hand. Any advice is welcome.
Oh, and its a 2000 blazer(2 door). Called GM and found out that a recall with the multifunction switch was done on it.

Well, couldn't fix it myself so I took it to a mechanic. He took a few hours to find the problem cause it was just that rare. A short in the fuse box. I don't think I ever would have suspected the fuse box of being the problem.

That is a new one... Glad you got it fixed back up and thank you for letting us know what the issue was.

Yeah, flip side of the coin I learned more about the truck and got a spare multi function switch. And have my wheels back in time to visit the family for christmas.
