Default Turning off DRL's

I've read my manual and looked at agent's recent post, but I've got one problem: My 1996 S-10 Blazer doesn't have a dome override switch, or at least I don't think it does! The only way I know to switch off my Daytime Running Lamps is by applying the parking break. This is hard to do when you are moving though! Any tips/advice on how to switch off the DRL's temporarily or permanently? Thanks in advance!
