Default brake noise is driving me crazy!!!

I did some searching and cant find a thread with my situation..

When i bought this 04 in 06 i used the pads it had on it until about a year ago..

never squeaked once i just figured it should be time to change them..

After putting on new pads (cheapest ones advanced auto had)

i also had the roters turned or leveled out whatever you want to call it.
(i did this after the squeaking started thinking it would help. it didnt..)

it wont stop squeaking!

Thinking about getting some more expensive pads but other than that i cant think of anything else to try.

thanks for any advise

When you press the brake pedal, the pads squeeze against the rotor. This will causes the pads to form small "grooves". these grooves (when a rotor is fresh) will also happen on the rotor. so the pad and rotor are basicly formed together. When you throw fresh pads on a not fresh rotor, the flat pad is going over the grooves in the rotor causing the tips of the grooves to "sing". kind of like running your finger around the edge of a wine glass. Also cheap pads can cause "singing" I suggest new higher quiality pads and either fresh turned or new rotors. Make sure to use the grease behind the pads. this will help with noise too.

Yea what he said. If you can afford ceramic pads they will most likely completely eliminate the squealing if not reduce it to a minor squeal. You can also buy some Gunk brand Squeal Medic that is applied to the rotors to fill the voids that cause squealing. Or other brands....
