Default Brake Pedal Help

Hello,

I have an unusual question that I am hoping to get some help with. My question concerns the brake pedal on my 1999 Chevy Blazer LT 4WD. Before I ask my question, a little background information is needed. Due to a disability, I need to drive with both feet in order to work the pedals. Although I do not engage the brakes constantly, the brake light is very sensitive on Blazers. When my left foot gently rests on the brake pedal, the lights come on and are on for the duration of my drive. This is a safety issue in my mind. My question is if there is a way to adjust the sensitivity of the brake light sensor so my foot does not cause the light to remain on. Any other suggestions for a solution to my problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read my email.

Brian

There is a button that is under the dash towards the top of the brake pedal that operates the brake pedal. You can try adjusting it towards the pedal a bit more but don't think you're going to be able to adjust it much

theres a brake switch under the dash by the pedal. its like a reverse button soon as the pedal is applied it pulls out the button and the brake light goes on. i dont really know how much you can adjust them or in newer cars if they still use this style of switch. but you can always tell when your driving behind someone using two feet
