My 1995 Blazer is pulling hard to the left, but it is only occasionally and by that I mean it usually only does it when exiting the interstate on the off ramps. When I put my foot on the pedal, it will jerk hard left and then when I take my foot off the pedal and try again, the pedal is rock hard and I have very little braking action and no noticeable pulling in either direction. Seems about the third or fourth time I try, I get my brakes back. Talk about a hair-raising experience. This has only been happening since I power washed the undercarriage yesterday afternoon. Is it possible that grease, dirt or grime on the rotor or pads is causing this? Or does it sound like air in the line or ABS problem? I did have quite a build up of grime on the bottom.

 

it could be your rotor being rough on the side its pulling to.... a caliper going bad and sticking... I would take the caliper off and see how hard it is to push the cylinder back using a C-clamp.. If its pretty tough I would go ahead and replace the caliper. It should take a bit of twisting but not a lot of force.
