brakes squeek even when not applied
#11
its fairly constant. more so on acceleration and turns tho. I just bought some cheap duralast pads. Ill put them on tmmr and see if it helps. If it does, then within the next few months ill do front rotors and buy better pads

Well I did my front pads. Squeek was still there. Took off my back tires, pads on the rear pass. side were 95% worn, pads on rear driver side were 50% worn. Caliper was seized on pass. side. So I just got new pads and a new caliper for the pass side. This should finally take care of the issue. Cant believe what a seized caliper will do. I checked my back pads just in feburary and they were 75-80%, Now there at 5%.

Haha, yup I had the same issue at about 95k. The caliper wasn't fully retracting and after only 8k the front pads were done. Replaced the caliper with a powdercoated caliper from brakeperformance.com and I haven't had any premature pad wear since.

well after doin the brake job, the caliper wasnt seized. the driver side bolts were so rusted the caliper wasnt compressing, resulting in the pass. side rear brake doing all the work, making it wear much faster. So i replaced back pads and my brakes feel good again, with absolutely no squeeking. Not even when warm. These pads are much less messy also. So now i have new front and rear pads, and the cost was about $45. Not bad at all
