Default A/C compressor

I have a 99 Blazer. I have been told that I need to replace the a/c compressor because it leaks. I was thinking of trying the refill and sealer cans sold at the auto stores. Does anyone know if I need R134 or freon or somthing else and does this stuff really work. I do not have much experience in working with this. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

R134 ONLY
Common problem I hear. Leak sealer may work, may not. If the leak is around center section of compressor, I think it''l work there if anywhere. Save you a bunch if it does.

If you have no experience in A/C then you shouldnt do anything on your own. You'll end up with a VERY expensive learning curve.
