Default A/C Heat Issues

My A/C is on all the time and the blower motor only works when it wants to. I am looking into replacing the actuator for the blend door and the relay for the blower.

I have done a lot of reading about the blend door issues on here. All of the DIY stuff seems to be more for 2000+ models with the glovebox near the bottom of the dash. MY '96 looks different with the glove box near the top of the dash. I removed all of the glovebox I could get to easily, but still can't get to it. Do I have to remove the dash to get to it?

I removed the cover from the bottom of the dash, but still can't seem to get to the actuator.

On to the 2nd problem... The relay for the blower motor is one of these 3 under the hood on the fire wall?

I cleaned the ground connection on the fire wall and scratched the paint off of the firewall. The fan seems to be working now. It was an intermittent problem, so we will see.

I am hoping I don't have to take the whole dash apart to get to the actuator.

I still think the blower motor problem is in the ground connection. The sheet metal screw doesn't tighten up good anymore, so I need to find another place to ground it. I flushed out the heater core and put in a hotter thermostat. That helped with the temp issue. I originally thought the air was on all the time, but I guess it was just outside air with no added heat.
