A/C Trouble

A/C Trouble
I have a 2001 Blazer 4 Dr-4 WD. The AC has always worked great, never had any maintenance/problems until now. When I first start up and turn the AC on it works great. Going down the road it works great. Still going down the road it still works great.
However, if I stop in a parking lot and wait for the wife to run into a store for 15 minutes, the trouble begins. I wait in the car with the AC running, and in about 10 minutes the compressor clutch kicks out. It won't re-engage until about 3 miles running down the road. Or, if I turn the car off and go into the store with her for 15 minutes, the clutch doesn't re-engage until I am running about 3 miles (more or less) down the road.
Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

After your reply, I checked out the coils. They didn't look dirty, but I hosed them down good anyway. I took it for a spin, shut it down to get gas, then restarted it. AC was working good. Drove it home, and let it idle in the driveway for 15 minutes. AC still working good. Now, it's only about 80 deg. F today, and cool (comparitively speaking) weather is expected for about a week. It will be interesting to see what happens when we get back into the 90's.
If only it could be this simple!
Thanks for your help.
