Default Cad cable

Good afternoon all , I recently purchased a 95 blazer for 500 only thing it need was a heater core and a windshield. Took care of that , now having issues with the 4x4 , i have been reading post for a few days and it all ends up with the vacuum , i have taken that out the picture and run a homemade posi-lock. I put the front wheels off the ground put the tranny in neutral and push 4 hi front driveshaft locks into place and i hear a click, i pull the posi-lock and nothing happens, i unhook the posilock and climbed under the truck with it running and 4 hi locked in and tryin to manually pull the cable and nothing is happening , i pull it and hear a click and thats it. Could i have a issue with the fork inside the diff, or the gears mounted on the shaft . i keep beating my head against the wall and cant figure it out , i wanted to put this message out there before i tear into the front diff myself . Thank you all , hope i can fix this . I hate being stuck in jersey mud with no 4 wheel drive

Sure sounds like the problem resides in the front passenger axle tube. I would start by removing the cable entry bracket and seeing how everything looks inside there. You should be able to see the shift fork and collar.

I know its a hard question, but do you think its as easy as pulling off the axle tube and looking and i might lucky. Is there a diaghram of what it should look like thanks again

Someone posted a link to ZR2usa.com (closed site) which showed the innards of the passenger side front axle. You can remove the three bolts which hold the cable bracket/housing on and have a look. This does not require the removal of the axle tube.

first lift the front and try putting it into 4Lo and see if it engages then. It still could be a transfer case switch issue.
