Default Can some one help me with fit tings and hose ?s

Can someone guide me in the right direction here? I'm looking into buying stainless line for my remote oil cooler lines which are 1/2" o.d. hardline. Now I know I need a compression fitting for the hardline side but do they make a compression fitting that converts the 1/2" hardline to a -8an so I can just put the hose on the fitting and just make it one fitting? I've been looking and all the compression fittings I've found are npt and I'd like to not use an adapter off the hose...

So there's no way to do it without double flaring it?

Sounds like you'd rather use a fitting like this on the hard line side?

Amazon.com: Earl's 165008ERL Aluminum Adapter: Automotive Amazon.com: Earl's 165008ERL Aluminum Adapter: Automotive

I suppose that would work too. I would sleep better with the flare, but there are people running with just doubled up hose clamps on their steel braid too
