Sorry Pettyfog, I am not a mechanic - just a guy trying to get some heat...I am not sure I do understand the ppl/wht wire issue or problem...are you saying it is a wire problem or the dash control (fan speed)?

I believe your diagram is correct just not sure I follow you.

Sorry and thank you for your assistance.

Your problem isnt you're not a mechanic, your problem is you dont read what people suggest.
I'll explain it again

Okay... if you scan through the thread, you'll notice I put up a drawing of an ACC circuit. Inside a box on the lower right is the blower motor and the electronic control that takes the place of the resistors which are in the manual control heater. GM schems suck but I dont know what difference yet another drawing will make if you cant read that one.

Into the heater assy go three wires: Orange which is 12v from the fuse, Black which is ground and ppl.. or purple with a white stripe which carries a 'digital' signal from the dash control.

So.. you find the one of the three wires going to OUTSIDE which isnt Orange or Black, it will proabaly be purple...find some slack in it and cut it. Or disconnect it at the connecotor to the heater. With the fuse installed so it has 12 volts available.. if the blower runs without that wire hooked up then you still have a bad blower controller. If it stops then the problem is in the dash controls.

You will also notice I already said to do that. If you didnt understand it you should have said so, instead of ignoring it.
