Default Can't put gas in...driving me crazy

So ive had this problem for about a week now...replaced the vent solenoid under the spare tire that didnt do anything. ive checked the lines none are damaged or bent.. this is getting ridiculous and driving me crazy cause it clicks off every .20cents when refueling...any additional ideas as to what could be causing this??? thanks, -Steve

Yes indeed.. please search this site and you will discover the problem is with the pressure vent tubing system! Many links here to solve this issue, but you may have to drop the tank again as well as make sure your filler nozzle assembly is in good shape as well! Any CEL? If not,I would be surprised! Let us know!

Just because you replaced the vent solenoid doesn't mean it is working, You need to make sure it is getting power and ground when necessary, common broken wire spot for them is on the trans cross member under your front drive shaft

now to add to my list of problems..the truck wont start, it cranks over but wont catch. i had a new engine put in about 3 months ago in march and last night while i was checking to see if anything was left unplugged in the engine bay i noticed that the distributor was loose..after tightening it down the truck ran perfect minus the fuel fill problem..for about 25 miles then quit like it ran out of gas..after wiggling the coil pack wire around i got it to start for about 30 seconds then quit again...Could the distributor be bad? or the coil pack? just very frustrating and you guys always seem to be able to help me out, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -Steve

got fixed $580 later turns out the guy who did the engine swap crushed a wire harness when he was putting the new engine in and that was causing my emissions/fuel issues...sucks to pay for someone elses mistakes :-(
