Center link trouble

Center link trouble
I would have put this post in the Suspension section but I need some input fast.
I'm having trouble with the two nuts which tie the inner tie rods to the center link itself. I can only screw on the nuts so far and then the stud and the nut just spin.
What can I do to stop this problem?
Oops. Spoke to soon. I was trying to use SAE sized nuts instead of Metric.
