If you are wanting to simply replace part for part then a good shop manual and/or thread search will help immensely. If you are talking about changing over to a completely different type of fuel injection system then that's a whole other can of worms...

Removal and instillation is pretty straightforward with the fuel lines being the most difficult to remove/reinstall on some model years. Such as my 2000 s-10 where the lines are one solid unit all the way from the spider unit to the back of the truck. Hopefully yours will separate at the mounting bracket like my 01 blazer instead.
The #1 tip for this job though is to immediately plug all your intake ports with a shop rag as soon as they are accessible. You could very much regret it if you do not do so.
The very first time I did one of these I didn't do so right away and dropped an aluminum nut down into an intake port and had to remove the lower intake as well to retrieve it.

i got it online at this place car junky.. it was like 220, thats with shipping and a stupid core charge of 40. i was told an aftermarket part wouldnt be smart, and the OEM parts is like 300 something, so this one is a rebuilt. anyway i was having problems with it starting, then it would glug for a bit til it was warm. i was getting EGR codes. it was just running like crap, no pick up, nothing. then it wouldnt start at all, till i primed the fuel pump like 3-4 times. my mechanic said the spider was leaking fuel and flooding it out.. sure as anything when i took it out, the whole side was washed clean. it only took a lil while, not a bad saturday afternoon project. its runnig great now...
