Charcoal canister problem

Should be three wires on the positive alternator stud. 1 black and 2 blue fuse links. The pigtail from the stud to the fuse link might be red, can't remember for sure.

What color are the wires? I might be able to check the schematics and figure it out from that. Or, follow the harness back and see what it connects to, that might be a clue. My guess is that it goes to the neutral safety switch on the transmission, but it's just a guess

Everything on the neutral safety switch has been connected. If you zoom in on the pic of the plug the wires should be there to get a look at.

Too fuzzy, can't tell all of the colors.

The altenator connections on my 96 are the same as Captain Hook described above. As for the plug, I have no idea off the top of my head. Good luck.

Is there diagram of the engine harness to be found that shows where this plug goes?

That mystery plug problem has been solved,it plugs into the front transfer case axle.
Now I have a new problem, everything is all wired up but when I turn the key all I get is clicking noise.Yes the battery is new and started has been tested good. The engine can be turned over by hand.Im at a loss of what to do next?
