Default "chevrolet" brand trailer hitch. Questions on fitment years

I have a 97. Bought a chevy tow hitch from the chevy dealer for it. Perfect and easy install.

My question. i f I upgrade to say a 2000 or so blazer, is it the same part number? will it fit? or will I need a new one?

I can't address the specific years you asked about, but I know that there are differences between hitch part numbers between some model years (even late 2nd gens) due to frame mounting hole locations.

All first gens are the same suvs as long as its 2 door or 4 door. 2nd gens get a bit more tricky and there were changes between them.
