Hello all, I have a 2000 blazer 4dr 4x4. When my blazer sits in the garage for maybe 2 or 3 days straight, then I go out and drive it around, I hear a clanging sound comming from the front wheels. Not sure what it is exactly. But, when I press on the brake it stops or when I drive the car for a long period of time, when the engine gets to about 180 degrees on temp gauge, the clanging stops. Any ideas?? I had both my front wheel hub bearings replaced umm...3 or 4 years ago. I ony use my 4x4 when where is more than say 6 inches of snow on the ground. I maybe use my 4x4 3 or 4 times a year, mostly when I go to cabin during hunting seasons. Have not used the 4x4 since December 2010. I just hope it still works. Do you think I might have an issue with the 4x4? But, last time I used it, no issues at all in 13 inches of snow on dirt one lane roads. Maybe had to go into banks of snow that were about 20 inches, with no problems. My tires have more than 50% of the tread left, more like 65% left. Hard to tell exactly where its comming from. It does this when driving straight. Not so much when turning. Any input will do. thanks.

You said you had wheel bearings replace well check and make sure they put your anti-rattle clips on your brakes pads mine rusted and fell off and had same problem. 4x4 has nothing to do with it especially if you hit the brake and the noise goes away.
