A buddy of mine has a 4.3L Blazer that will not start...battery, wires and plugs are new....when trying to start, the motor turns over and almost fires but acts fuel starved....His Blazer has 210,000 miles and he has never changed the fuel filter..He also has no way to check the fuel pressure either.....I'm thinking after that many miles surely the filter is an issue.....it also idles a "little rough" when in Park.....but driving at 75 mph there is no hesitation....is changing the fuel filter a good place to start? Can this be a sudden problem where it works one day then not the next or would it be a progressive problem leading up to not starting? Thanks guys....

 

For sure start with that fuel filter! Long overdue!
