I think so, i dont think that any of those wires are twisted or shielded.

Did this scanner communicate with this engine computer when you first got the truck? Do you have another scanner you can try?

Do you have access to a scope, even a cheap little battery powered one so you can see if there is any data on the class 2 bus from the computer?

Follow what the guy does in the video in post #6. If you get nothing even with the comb out after trying all the pins then yes go to the connector at the engine computer and try the dk grn class 2 wire there. Make sure that the truck is running for all of this.

i got a scope and found a data signal and had a signal on the data bus but no communication to scanner what are the 4 wires to obd2 connector i assume 12v and ground and data is there a data ground also? anyway the engine runs good but it kicks back on first start it will stay running good if you turn it off after it runs even just 10 seconds it starts just fine

DLC pins:

2 ppl class 2 data
4 blk ground
5 blk/wht ground
9 tan VIU
13 org transfer case module
16 org +12v

Did you still have class 2 bus data traffic with the com reinserted?
