Default Column to console conversion

I asked a week or so ago and did some wrecking yard research. To switch from column to console 03 LS blazer I robbed the following from a Jimmy sle console, shifter assembly cable, bottom plate to shifter, sub harness, and column cover shells. Wiring in the truck was supported so no wiring modifications were ness, the column of course had to remove the screw securing handle and the original column lock out and loop the park indicator plug in 5.0 hrs to complete so its OEM look was achieved hope this saves someone else some time but has most likely been covered already. Yes it is the wrong color but didnt want it sloppy looking later w peeling paint, and the missing screw above the heater vent. Since been installed. 😜 there was one minor modification nees to floor the LS trim was not covered in this trim however in the LT/sle models was the mounting studs 3x 10mm bolts w washered nut the 1/4 inch is required for proper fit and finish spots are marked w a dimple stamped into floor weld studs in place add nut upside down install shifter and add nuts on top as usual. And done.

I'm still trying to find a column cover for mine so I don't have the shifter hole in the side of it (converted to manual tranny), but haven't had any luck. Too bad you didn't pick up two, lol.

if I find a good one I'll hook you up this one had the usual pop crunch plastic issues that required some glueing (super)

I'd be fine with less than perfect. My Blazer is far from a show vehicle. If you can find me one, I would totally appreciate it. Preferably charcoal, but I would take anything.

I think charcoal is the standard color. All the ones I've seen any way

What did you have to do to get the shifter sitting properly. I am doing the swap on my 96 but the console and shifter dont seem to want to sit down onto the floor properly and shifter doesn't sit up against the console level. Thanks
