2002 blazer has massive leak of water(coolant) from the rear of the engine. if i put the hose in the radiator and fill it up the leaking starts EVEN WITHOUT the engine running. I cant see where its comming from.......help please.... if it is the lower manifold gasket...how much would that cost to have done....cause I can only drive it... im definately not a mechanic.....any suggestions???

seems like a similar situation the reason my blazer is sitting in garage. Fluid was leaking from back of engine, at first I thought was oil leak because its the same color. Till I notice that I was getting cold air and temp. guage was going above normal, but didn't get as far as the red zone. Compared to what you did with putting a hose, which I presume it was water, I couldn't do that since when I discovered the problem, the Arctic vortex was coming upon us. Garage told me it was the lower intake manifold and Garage bill about $485 with 5 hours of labor. To do that work requires disassembly on top of the engine, which allows the mechanic to find more thing wrong, me, the distributor is going bad, another $250. And yeah, thats a mechanic I can trust, imagine it if you can't trust him.
