Default Coolant and Tank Hose

After doing a search here, I found this thread, but the correct answer was not clear...

https://blazerforum.com/m_68378/tm.htm

The hose shown is this picture was not connected to anything. Is this an overflow, or should it be connected to my radiator? There is some fuild left in the tank, but it is not much. Certainly not to the "hot" level line.

Can someone please help?

Default RE: Coolant and Tank Hose

That hose is the vent/over-flow and should terminate somewhere down near the frame rail. If you follow the hose attached to the radiator right next to the cap, it should connect to the overflow tank.

How is the level of coolant in the radiator? If the radiator is low, it is possible that the radiator cap is bad. Even if it is at the proper level, a replacement cap is good preventative maintenance.
