Cranks with no start
#34
Oh, took a dump. Got it.
When it cranks but won't start does it sputter at all or zero evidence of ignition of fuel in the cylinder(s)?
Have you tried any starter fluid (careful), if so does it try to start/run then?
Any gas smell in the open throttle body?
How confident are you on proper ignition?

Well then there is not much left except that the spider took a dump as you suggested, or has an internal wiring problem. Its a bitch that you have to take the intake apart to get to the injectors for a final confirmation. Some will remove each injector in turn and crank it while watching the spray pattern into a rag or jar (careful). One last test to pretty much confirm and not take the spider apart is a cylinder balance test. You fire each injector with a small pulse box and measure the fuel pressure drop of the charged rail to see if the cylinders are equal. I own this:
You back probe the low side wires at the intact connector for each injector in turn and the box provides the ground side pulse of a given duration.

Yup. I thank you for your help! I ordered that tester also. I will check them when I pull spider. From what I gather the lower Intake has to come off to get injectors out. Is that correct? Yes I have checked fuel pressures a few times. I will probably have sending unit changed also. Not to confident in the 61psi. Can't have my daughter stuck on the road again.

On the tester:
You charge the rail with key on before each test. Then you back probe the appropriate colored wire (non-pink) with the connector intact. Then you select a pulse and hit each one once, recharging the pressure before each test. Crank every few tests to clear out the gas if they are opening.
The lower intake manifold does not have to come out to address the injector spider/injectors.
