You know I'm having the same problems on my 98 Lt, at a steady pace on the road just feels like it wants to switch gears or something. I took it to Cottman Transmission and was told my torque converter is going bad. Of course, I also had problems with going into reverse.

Just asking, where did you mount your rpm gage?
I was thinking of sticking one on my a pillar.

Oh, right. The LT has a tach in it already. LS doesn't have one. I don't know why. It's really annoying not knowing when you're redlining. Wastes gas and puts too much wear on the engine. I've already had a crankshaft bearing rip itself apart.

um this may sound stupid because i dont know a lot about newer cars. all of my meager expertise is in things older than me. here goes. when i bought my truck the speedo didnt work and i had to replacethe speedo cable. actually i had to do it twice because the first one layed on the exhaust pipe and melted. anyways before i fixed it sometimes it would twitch a little like i wanted to work but there was a loose connection. is there a cable like that on yours that maybe is loosening?
feel free to correct me if im wrong and good luck.
