Dashboard problems

I just bought a 98 blazer with a blown motor. I don't have any info on the past of the vehicle.
I just replaced engine, starts and runs great (has a kinda weird whistle at idle, but goes away when you take off). Drives and shifts smooth.
The mileage and shift indicator doesn't work. Everything else works Gas/Temp/etc.. check engine light.
I've read that this is the ignition switch. But, the only reason I'm questioning it. These people thrown codes. I do not have any codes.
Any other suggestions? Or should I just replace the ignition switch?

Everything else works on the dash.
Any other suggestions. I can't find anything else in the search??

Well, I will start by combining your threads... Please keep things on one topic on one thread...
A quick search for "odometer" and I came up with these threads:
No Odometer
98 Blazer Mileage & PRND21 **FIXED**
'99 Digital odometer issues
And the coupe 'de grace' of the sources of the problem:
