Default Dashboard Removal

Any tips on how you take the dash (or at least the top of it) out on a '99 build Blazer (RHD), and how hard is it? I've got a replacement actuator for the heater door but my a/c bloke rekons he hasn't got a socket extension that'll reach the real bolts, and that it'd be easier to take the top off the dash and remove the heater duct. Sounds like the go to me, but all the other guides I've read claim you can swap the actuator over without demolishing the dash. I've got to take part of it out anyway to fit a band spreader for the FM radio (Japanese band is below ours). Just want to get my a/c going at the moment, the heater's stuck on and it's bloody monsoon season.

Managed to swap the actuator over without dismantling the dash, you'd think a part prone to failure would be more accessible. Now have aircon, woo hoo! Only thing is the heater control is reversed, I believe you have to re-set it. Anyone know the procedure?

Just tried going through the procedure of removing the RDO BATT fuse etc and it's still reversed. Is this fuse #19? The guide on mine is in bloody Japanese.
