Daytime Running Light Help
Okay so dtoday i installed the resistor for the auto lamps and took the tap off the relay. Now when i take my parking brake off the lo beams automatically turn on what can this be.Could i have installed the relay wrong. Any help would be great thanks.

Perhaps you could clarify a bit for us what you are trying to accomplish exactly.
Normally on these trucks with properly working daytime running lights, the headlights will come on any time the ignition switch is turned on and the parking brake is off. Though on some models/years they will only come on once the engine is running and you put the truck in gear. (also with the parking brake off)
From how you described it sounds as though your DRL's are working as they are supposed to.

Btw where did you install the resistor? You should have removed your passenger side dash speaker grille and unpluged the automatic headlight sensor and installed the resister there. That will disable your automatic headlights.

Did you take the tab off? or just bend it?
Which tab number? some models it's 85, some 86. then reinstall it the exact same way it cam out. You may have the DRL relay. In this case just pull it. its the same size as the fuses, Its just black with some sort of arrow on it.
