Daytime running lights

Daytime running lights
I am having a issue with my daytime running lights that started a week ago. if it is bright outside like normal daylight driving both high and low beam lights come on. if and when it gets dark then the automatic lights kick in and high/low beam work normally. I'm just not sure why or what would cause the daytime lights to activate both high and low beams. I was actually pulled over for it so now i'm turning on the headlights everytime i go someplace. any ideas? relays? Hand grenade?

it sounds like your ride did the "quad mod" to itself.
its just a guess but there is a relay in the fuse box under the hood that has to do with the drl system.
it sounds like your ahl works...and your bright switch on the column is working...so that would be my guess....just a guess though.

Depending on what year your blazer is you can turn off the daytime running lights by pressing the dome override button 4 times within 6 seconds.

just do a search on disabling DRL.
you simply have to bend one of the tabs on the DRL relay. search to find wich one, i cant remember i did it a long time ago.
