ok here we go drove my blazer through high water that went over the hood and i thought i made it then about a block later it died . it did restart and i had to idle home. next day i dumped the water out of the airfilter box and cleaned the filter and replaced the distributor cap and rotor. it does start but when you try to give it gas it boggs down and dies . i pulled the plugs and checked for water in the cylinders , nothing also did a compression check an 2 cylinders that have a miss compression is 175, i also removed the catalytic converter thinking it might be plugged and that helped with the miss on one of the cylinders, and also the igniton switch acts funny now, it will click if you turn it too far but will start if you barely turn it and then it will stay cranking after started, the vehicle is a 95 s10 blazer 4.3 liter 4wd

Change your oil.
Starter solinoid may be toast, or it might just need time to dry out.
Changeyour front and rear diff fluids.
Check your tranny fluid.
Change your t-case fluid.

 

thats funny cuz tonite i went off roading and went thoughr something i thought was shallower then it relly was but i made it through and it died before i got out the puddle i just let it sit for a min and then tried to start it and gave it gass and worked good till then sorry for bad spelling im kinda drunk right now

 

finally got this thing running nearley a year later new fuel injection, cat converter, removed gas tank, cleaned out all fuel lines, replaced starter, now trans is leaking from vent tube

 

did you ever check your trans fluid? If it is to full(possably from watergetting in when you swamped it)it will pump some tranns fluid out of the vent tube.
