Question Distributor problem

Hi gang I recently just got my 96 blazer running with a rebuilt engine.Im having problems with the distributor coming loose, also would this cause the timing to be off if it moved?
Also for some reason its running very warm close to 195* along with poor idling condition.
Also is an attachment of a vacuum line coming off a sensor on the passenger side of the engine, where does it go?
helpful input required thanks.

It comes loose after you tighten the hold down? Also 195 degrees sounds fine.

I believe what you are calling a sensor, is the Evap Canister Purge Solenoid. It has a short piece of plastic tubing that leads to a metal line going to the evap system.

It's just pretty tough to try to help when you post multiple threads about the same problem. Please decide on one thread for your problem and stick to it. Then we can see not only the history of what you have said - we can also see what you have been advised, all in one spot. It just gets to be too much work, otherwise. I would have answered completely differently in the other thread if I had known you have a possible disconnected vacuum line. Now I feel like I wasted a lot of my time.
