I've had mechanics ask me what is the hose for, I don't know.
Some mechanics said there is something missing there.
All I see is a hose curved down with nothing on the end.
So this a mystery, my 1995 blazer didn't have this.
Thx
Jim

I've been told it's not normal there should be something on the end, what... I don't know.
it does seem strange that if it is a air inlet there should be some sort of filtering on it...
Again I'm stumped.....

Nope, no filter. The AIR (air injection reaction) system pumps fresh air into the exhaust system to increase catalytic converter efficiency. There is no need for a filter on it and isn't one from the factory. Nothing to worry about.
