Default Dome Light wont shut off.

This may seem like a stupid problem but it is killing my battery. For some strange reason the dome light will not go off. I just noticed it a few days ago, i know I can just take out the bulb but I would rather fix the problem. Anyone have an idea why it wouldnt go off?

Are all the interior lights on, or just the dome?

I would check the cargo area light switch to make sure it is not on. Then I would check all the door switches to make sure none are shorted. If the cargo switch is on the light will stay on all the time. Somewhere a switch is energized, because it is on or faulty. It is going to be a process of elimination to deterimine where problem lies. If is just the dome light and not all the interior lights I would suspect the dash or cargo switch.

do your dome lights have the push touch to them maybe someone pushed them not realizing they did and no one ever pushed them again to shut them off? Without seeing the truck its hard to determine what it could be, maybe a door pin stuck in the door jamb?
