Door Hinge Detent Roller Hold Opener Plate Thingy
2001 4WD Blazer
Is there a remedy for a bent soon to be broken roller pin for the door hinge hold opener? Other than hinge replacemnent?
I have researched all threads and have not come across anything concerning the two position plate slash roller pin.
Any help appreciated,
Sundragon..

I have seen that assembly on Amazon so I'm pretty sure Dorman make a replacement, Ill be damned if I can find it now. A search on this site showed a bunch of threads....it looks like it could be a big job from what others have said.

I thought for sure there would be something out there but no luck, that's why I posted this, got to be a bunch of broken ones like mine.
As the bottom portion is much larger diameter it looks like once you drive it down there should be enough room to slide it out past the pillar and wiring boot, more than likely the wiring boot is gonna be in the way.
Would GM offer this part? I didn't check that yet.

I'm going through the same conundrum right now... I KNOW they exist, because my driver's door HAS a replacement pin with the roller in it. Someone in the past ground the old one off and slid this one in, and it's held in at the top with a clip like the actual hing pins have. But I'll be damned if I cannot find a replacement one. Easy to find them all over the place for the full size trucks, but not for the S series... Mine is popping and screaming every time I open the door and it's getting really aggravating...
Be super interested to see if anyone brings something up!

interesting... multiple parts... wonder if mine could be separated and at least greased, since it's not the original and has been replaced before?

That's what I am trying to figure out because when I enter those part numbers into the GM Parts website the short pin and the roller come up as incompatible for the vehicle, yet the long pin part number is compatible, so I am not sure what is going on, maybe someone can clarify this for us.

According to this thread on the S-10 forum they are,
Roller Door Stops are Toast - S-10 Forum
And according to this ebay seller the roller (20058035) is compatible.

I am just gonna go ahead and order the three parts and see what the deal is.
