I have a 1998 chevy ZR2. Just out of the blue my passenger door won't unlock. I have removed as much of the inner door panel as I can, being that the door won't open. I have tried pulling the rod that unlocks the door but with no luck. I can't get down there to even get at the locking mechanism. Like I said this was completely out of the blue, it just stopped working. If anyone on here can help me I would really appreciate it. Thanks

 

I had that problem with my truck...it went from being permanently locked to unlock..I had to pull off the panel..spray the heck out of the mechanisim with some WD40..pulled on the rod about a million times...finally it locked and unlocked just great...I think water gets down into the door, and freezes the lock...spray some lube and work on it.
