not necessarily. You would braze the fittings onto the hard line where you will have access to thread on the replacement lines (which would be crimped using hydraulic fittings or equivalent).

Ok ..I see, I think once I change them I will talk to a friend of mine and see if he can TIG weld some AN fittings on the old lines.

I believe they should have a lifetime warranty. If not buy a pair at autozone/pep boys and swap them after a few days/weeks

just got done talking to Rockauto a distributor for dorman whom i got my cooler lines from, good news and bad news:

good news is the dorman lines have a limited lifetime warranty so they are shipping me new ones

bad news is i had to pay for them and once i get done laying on my back in my driveway again, getting covered in oil again and wrestling those hoses over, under and through the complexities that is the underside of this vehicle again, i get to send the leaking ones back and at that point my money will be refunded

i didn't have the option of a straight up refund, that would have been the best situation that way i could replace them with a diff brand

you can bet your butt i am going to have the new ones "fixed" before i put them onby the brazing/press method swartlkk and dljr82 discussed!

there is no way in heck i am going to put these lines on the way they come from dorman, ain't happen

so fellas (swartlkk and dljr82) i guess when i get the new ones i'll just go to a hydralic hose/line shop andask them to upgrade the connections and hoses?

I would have said send me a new one with a prepaid shipping label to return the old ones or I'm going to my credit card company. That's why most car parts I'll buy at autozone or local because the money you save online isn't worth the shipping hassle and customer service bull****.

update

i took the new dorman lines to a hyraulic press company (Ohio Hydraulics)and they qouted a price of around $200 to braze on connectors and put upgraded hoses on!

funk that!

gonna be going with the DIY option i read on here using AN fittings

anybody else do this or have some tips/tricks?
