Default Drive belt

I've watched the tensioner arm on my 2004 Blazer 4x4 for the drive belt while the truck is running.

I've noticed that it moves a bit and am wondering if that signals there is a pulley sticking causing tension to change? I've also noticed some squeaking noises.

The manual doesn't recommend replacement of the belt yet, as I only have ~50K miles on it. It does show a slight bit of wear. There are some minor groves on the smooth side of the belt.

Anyone think it would be wise to replace the belt?

I would go ahead and replace it with a Goodyear Gatorback. While it's off, check each of the pulleys for free spinning, noise, etc. After it's replaced see what the tensioner is doing.

I replaced the belt with the one I had (a new one). I some times buy parts when they are on sale even before I need them.

All pulleys moved freely. The tensioner looks good now.

The idle is up ~50 RPMs which means the oil pressure is up a bit while at idle. That's good news as I thought the idle and oil pressure were down a bit from what they were when I bought the vehicle new.

I can't speak to the Napa belt since I don't know who makes them, but the Gatorback is known for its fit and longevity.
