Default Driver-side mirror and dash gauge lights

Trying to squeeze between some junk in the garage (I need to clean that up)and my '95 Blazer earlier in the week, I bumped into the driver-side mirror pretty hard and heard a crack. I went to adjust it, and the whole thing came off in my hands. It's a power mirror, so it is still connected, but I can see thatthe plastichousings that hold the screws have broken off.

Is this an easy fix that I should be able to do myself (I don't have a lot of experience working on autos in general)? Where should I look for a replacement part? Any tips on replacing this would be greatly appreciated.

Also, not sure if it is related, but sincemy "mirror accident"my dash gauge lights do not come on (brake, checkengine, etc. do come on)when I turn on the head lights, andthe head light reminder sound (annoying beep)does not function.

a non powered version of the mirror is available at autozone. it is not powered. it is a manual adjust. i am not completely sure if it is the one for your blazer but i know it is the one for my 97. you have to take the door panel off and undo the should be 3 bolts and unhook the wireing harness. you could also look on ebay, and in local junk yards.

The Driver side power mirror broke off of my blazer as well in a similar fashion as yours with the screw housings breaking. a pretty good solution, although not the prettiest but definitely the cheapest is taking a couple of bolts (3) and bolting it from the inside of the door and placing the nuts on the outside of the vehicle. when the mirror was pulled off it may have disconnected something within the dash panel, possibly an easy fix, i would start by taking the dash apart and checking for anything like that. just a couple of ideas... hope they helped
