my 99 blazer did the same thing, I removed the door panel, took a test light, saw power was coming to the window motor, tried to jump the motor with a batery charger and two wires, determined motor was bad, if your not that keen on checking these items, and or removing and replaceing the window motor, get some help, this job, if it is the motor can be a real headache, good luck.

Your motor is probably going bad Glen. You can try this...turn the key on and hold the switch down and quickly slam the door..if you have the door panel off you can tap the motor with a hammer and usually the shock from one of these will make it come back to life temporarilly.

Is it possible to replace just the motor and not the regulator? My back window is kaput.

Yeah, but you have to drill out the rivets...IF YOU DO!!!.....make sure you retain the regulator spring before you remove the motor!!!!...itcould cut your fingers OFF if you don't.....Some of them don't have the spring..(it's a big coiled spring keeping tension on the motor) but if you do..make sure you retain it..I just drill a hole through both regulator arms at the same location and put a bolt/nut through it.....swap the motor and remove the bolt/nut...and reinstall the regulator...
