I have to replace my driver's side mirror due to distortion and discoloration. It is a power mirror, but I don't believe it is a heated one. Rock Auto & Amazon show power mirrors with heat function. Would one of these connect properly to my vehicle, even if it did not originally come with a heated mirror. My Blazer is a 1999 4WD 4D 4.3 LS Model.

Does your blazer have rear window defogger? The heated mirrors warm up when the rear window defogger is turned on. I'm not sure if the wiring is there in the door or if it involves the bcm but it's a start.

Yes, I have a rear window defroster. I did not realize the side mirrors were wired for that. I live in Minnesota, so you would think i would notice that. Maybe, they didn't work by the time I bought the vehicle. This was very helpful. I think I will read the manual, now. But, don't tell anyone.
