driver side mirror

Default driver side mirror

about 5 days ago i was atmy moms visiting and i heard a loud noise from outside so i go outside and a portimexican starts telling me some mini van knocked my mirror offso my question is how would i take a driver side mirror off (at a junyard) and what do i half to do to get my driver ide door panel off?

Most times the junkyards already have the mirrors off since they are so popular to get replaced (very hard to find, I have been looking for a year). You might be better off getting new ones off of ebay. Otherwise to take the door panel off, all you have to do is take out the screw for the door handle surround and remove that piece. Then take out the power locks and window controls (don't have to disconnect although it is easier if they are completely disconnected). Then start prying straight outwards from the bottom up the sides to the window line. Then slide the panel up out of the window slot. Now your done and should be able to see the mirror bolts (3 of them). Good luck.
