Drivers side windows stuck lowered
So here is a new update. Took the door panel off and checked all connections, everything is fine. I called up a local mechanic and he suggested I bypass the switch to see if the motor itself is the issue so I did so. And still nothing. So I guess the next step would to be to replace the motor which the mechanic said is going to be a huge bitch. Should I just pay to get it done before I get into a bigger headache? Or try it myself? And sorry for the double post, I was typing my last reply from my Iphone

if you got a basic assortment of tools, i'd tackle this one and save some bucks. first you're gonna want to get that window up. if you can get it up, you won't have to worry about the spring on the regulator taking your finger off. im not joking if you can get the window back up i'd go for it. if you can't go with the mechanic. also on mine it made it alot easier to work with if you take the window seal out. that way you have more room to get the bolts in after you remove the window motor. they make a special "tool" really just 2 suction cups and some string to hold the window up. a small piece of wood will work to brace it up also. after you get the window seal out and the window UP is when the fun begins. there is a how to article in the tech section that will guide you through the rest. any questions just ask.
