Default DTC code question

Hi all, my Service Engine Soon light is on, so I bought a code reader and the code is p0155 and p0155pd. now i understand that pd means pending, but why does it say the same code twice, and one is pending while the other is not pending?
Also, what is pending? Wouldn't it be bad or not bad? Sorry I am new to DTC codes, and the code scanner is the first one I have used. Thanks.

p0155: oxygen sensor heater circuit malfunction Bank 2 sensor 1. A pending code means it has almost met all criteria to show itself as a hard code. Existing codes can be a hard code and a pending because if the computer doesnt show the problem for ?? amount of time the code goes away, the reoccuring pending code makes sure the code isnt reset. Pending codes alone wont illuminate the Check engine light. This code is either a wiring problem with the O2's heater circuit or the O2 sensor is bad.

ah, ok gotcha. but why would it show the same code twice? as a hard code, and again as a pending code? Bank 2 sensor 1, would be the O2 sensor on the passenger side exhaust manifold?

Yes. Bank 2, Sensor 1 is the first sensor on the passenger side.
